R. V. Pathi has written biographies of historical leaders in a simple and engaging style. His book Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Varalaru was published in Tamil by Sura Books, Chennai, in June 2004.
This widely acclaimed Tamil work was translated into Malayalam by Baburaj Kalampoore under the title Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Desasnehathinte Simha Garjanam (“The Lion’s Roar of Patriotism”). The Malayalam edition was published in 2011 by Sura Books Private Limited, Ernakulam, and has gone through several editions.


To commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi in 2019, he wrote the children’s novel Kannan Vazhi Gandhi Vazhi with the objective of instilling Gandhi’s principles of nonviolence in young readers. The book was published in Tamil by Nivedita Publications. The work was translated from Tamil into Telugu by Jillella Balaji, a recipient of the Sahitya Akademi Award for Translation, under the title Kannan Margam Gandhi Margam. The Telugu translation was released as an e-book on February 13, 2025, through Pustaka Digital Media Private Limited.
The Chennai International Book Fair 2025 was held at Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai, from January 16 to January 18, 2025. Publishers from various Indian states and several countries participated in the event. Through the efforts of literary agent Ms. Janani, agreements were signed for the translation of the following books written originally by R.V.Pathy in Tamil into different languages.
- Khama Publishers has selected children’s novel Appuvin Cycle (Appu’s Bicycle) for translation into Bengali.
- Arcane Literature & Kinderstories Hub has selected ‘Pathu nimida medai nadagangal’ (Ten-Minute Stage Plays for School Students) for translation into Malay. The same publisher has also selected Appuvin Cycle (Appu’s Bicycle) for translation into Malay.
- Plus Publishers has selected children’s drama book ‘Pathu nimida medai nadagangal’ Ten-Minute Stage Plays for School Students for translation into Hindi.
- Clube de Autores has selected a collection of children’s short stories, ‘Singam yen Raajavaaga irukkirathu?’ (Why Is the Lion the King?), for translation into English.
All of the above-mentioned translated editions are expected to be released soon.
